1 July 2026.
Good morning on the first day of the month.
The midpoint of the year.
I was up at 7:20 am.
I didn't do the dog walk as Julie did it.
She left for work and was back home within 10 minutes. The engine light had come on in her car.
She drives a Fiat 124 Spider and in all honesty, apart from a few teething problems when she first bought it, it has been a good car.
I've been threatening to weigh-in The Beast (The dog's Fiat Punto), towards another car - for months now, but the bullshit involved when you buy a car - getting new insurance, changing registration plates from one to another etc., sort of outweighs the positives and it's been putting me off a bit.
The time, however, I reckon has come, as Julie has had to fire up The Beast, which is full of bird shit, deposited by our resident pigeons and jackdaws - and gone to work in that.
She's dropping the 124 in at Johnny Hanson's garage in Crowle around 4:00 pm, so hopefully they'll sort it.
Yesterday, was another work day, much the same as today, so there isn't much to speak about.
Opposite is a photograph of the Series 1 Angie around Christmas time in the park; and below, a lovely animation of Anita talking about her husband and Gaynor's daughter, Jenny... and her swimming.
The animations are getting better, even though from my end - literally no thought has gone into them.
I know, that I could do a 30 minute animation in around five days, including the creation of different sets... especially on the powerful new system as it renders videos in seconds.
I just need the animation software to update itself and become for fucking user-friendly, as I am still having to master (trick) the algorithms into doing what I want, as opposed to doing what it wants.
I have now created around 350 named 2D Extras.
Maybe, I should try for a 30 minute drama episode, using some of those.
I think it would be good practice... getting sound levels right, the sequences etc...
Yes, I think I'll aim for that.
The only problem, is that we are still animating in 720p - when it should be 2160p (4K).
Right - that's me done for today.
