(Series 2) Anita Pallenburg - with brown hair. Beautiful.

1 November 2026.

Good morning.

I was up at 7:10 am and around the churchyard with the hound.

Another very misty day as the clock starts ticking fast on the countdown to Christmas and the end of the year.

November already.

Mine and Julie's lives have been at a frantic pace for years now. It is nothing out of the ordinary - it is just who we are.

Workers.

We work hard and we reward ourselves by having a nice life - much of which we spend on the island which is the gateway to the Middle East.

This year, however - is one of those which I'd like to put behind me... death's in the family, ill health...

I know it's par for the course as we get older... but fuck me... a bit of respite would be nice.

Last night was one of those different kinds of beautiful...

The big 150-year old house on the corner of High Street with its tower and gables and huge wrought iron gates was all lit up and families with kids were knocking at its door... mini trick or treaters...

Very nice.

Julie said to a little lad who was dressed up as Count Dracula: "Crikey - you look scary... it looks like you've been sucking blood!"

"He's spent the afternoon with his (vampire) teeth in, going round and biting everybody," said his dad.

After the trick or treaters had done - we had Robyn call with her two youngest, which was nice.

The little lad is Spiderman-bonkers, so I bought him an action figure off eBay and his younger sister, a Barbie-doll that turns into a mermaid.

They also went away with two buckets of sweets.

Opposite and above I've done some Anita Pallenburg with different hair colouring and styles - and minus the god-awful mole.

In Series 2, Jenny is Anita's PR mogul.

Anita spoils her rotten, therefore Jenny reciprocates, not just at home but at school.

"What - your dad's wife's a builder?" smirked one of the kids in Jenny's class early on in Series 2.

"She can't be a builder - she's only little," Jenny replied.

"Then, what then?"

"She works for a building company," mumbled Jenny.

At that point in Series 2, Jenny was being mentally bullied as she had been put in a class with girls a few years older.

"Will you pick me up from school?" Jenny asked Anita over the phone.

"If you want," Anita replied.

"And can you come in your car?" was the next question.

Anita didn't - she picked her up in one of Greenford's trucks. But Anita was always Anita regardless of how she dressed and what vehicle she drove.

Pretty and petite.

"I bet your dad left your mum 'cos she's an old dog," came the next line of questions.

Kids can be cruel, and when Jenny first went to Christ Is King she took quite a bit of flack...

That was until she didn't.

Day 667

Anita Pallenburg

(Series 2) Anita Pallenburg. Pretty and petite.

When Gaynor came home and saw Anita... bang!

That was it.
